Every year, Toulouse School of Management (TSM) organises a special event in partnership with the Ordre des Experts-Comptables of Occitanie. Several speakers gather on our campus to discuss current issues and developments in the fields of accounting, auditing, and control.
30th Annual Meeting Focused on the Use of Generative AI in the Accounting Sector
The 30th annual meeting will take place on Monday, 18 November 2024, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m, in the Cujas amphitheatre, directly on TSM’s Anciennes Facultés campus.
This year, the conferences, discussions, and round tables will centre around "Challenges and Issues of Generative AI for Accounting Firms," a timely subject at the core of the sector's current debates.
As automation continues to transform financial statement production and the development of electronic invoicing accelerates digital transformation within firms, the integration of Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) marks a new milestone in redefining the profession. Accounting firms find themselves at a crossroads, with some already incorporating AI while others are still exploring the potential of this revolutionary technology. Rather than replacing the profession, it helps to reinvent practices and paves the way for more adaptive and innovative services.
The adoption of this technology by accounting professionals raises several points that will be explored during this 30th meeting.
A Day of Exchange with Professionals from the Accounting Sector
Multiple conferences, discussions, and round tables are scheduled for the afternoon of Monday, 18 November. Hervé Penan, Director of TSM, Pascal Castanet, President of the Ordre des Experts-Comptables of Occitanie, and Jennifer Boutant Lapeyre, academic head of the Master Accounting, control and auditing, will open the event.
The opening conference will be led by Isabelle Vissuzaine, Digital Transformation and Electronic Invoicing Project Manager at the National Council of the Ordre des Experts-Comptables. This will be followed by a round table chaired by Frédéric Laffont, member of the National Council’s executive board.
TSM is honoured to welcome the Ordre des Experts-Comptables of Occitanie for this moment of exchange on the challenges and implications of generative artificial intelligence for the accounting profession.
