The Best Master 2 Accounting Control Audit Dissertations receive Awards

The prize for the best dissertation of the 2021-2022 class of the Master 2 Accounting Control Audit was awarded to the winners on September 19th 2022. Well done to Maxime Creste, Chloé Teissonniere and Victor Pujo for all their hard work!

The 3 winners received their prizes on the sunny terrace of Ma Biche sur le Toit in Toulouse.

The sponsor of the 2021-2022 class, Laure Mulin, an auditor with the firm Sygnatures and President of the Compagnie Régionale des Commissaires aux Comptes de Toulouse (CRCCT), was present alongside TSM Director Hervé Penan.

The CRCCT board, Philippe Gandon, Catherine Saint-Guirons, Anne Briqueteur, and the heads of TSM's Masters in Accounting and Auditing were also on hand to reward the winning students: Isabelle Martinez (M1 CCA), Jennifer Boutant Lapeyre (M2 CCA) and Alain Donadio (M2 CGSE / DSCG preparation course).

The winners

The 3 best dissertations are: 

  • Firstly, Maxime Creste on "The relevance, completeness and reliability of accounting and financial information: the case of other comprehensive income items". Maxime was an intern at KPMG Toulouse under the supervision of François Bourgoin (Partner). He graduated top of his class in the M2 CCA with first class honours, and had also completed his L3 Accounting and Control at TSM with first class honours. He has been recruited by KPMG Toulouse in the Middle Market accountancy division, where he will make his debut in November 2022.
  • The second prizewinner was Chloé Teissonniere for her dissertation entitled "Le commissariat aux comptes face à la vérification des informations extra-financières". She worked as a trainee at Sygnatures Toulouse under the supervision of Marie Clergue (Engagement Director). Chloé obtained her M2 CCA with honours (3rd in her class) after a L3 CC at TSM and a DUT GEA at Castres. Her plans? A one- or two-year placement in New Zealand starting in January 2023!
  • Lastly, the third prizewinner was Victor Pujo for his dissertation on "The logic behind the valuation of show jumping horses: analysis of the formation of the sale price by studying the correlation between market value and the characteristics of this unique asset". Victor did his work placement at Mazars Toulouse under the supervision of Florent Rohles (Partner). After a year of undergraduate studies in eco-management at Toulouse Capitole 1 University, Victor entered TSM in L2 and went on to do a third year in Accounting and Control, graduating with an 'Assez Bien'. This year he obtained his Master 2 CCA with distinction. He plans to go on a one-year international placement in Buenos Aires, Argentina, from January 2023.
