Two signatures are required for the Learning Agreement "Before Mobility" when submitting your MoveOn application:
You and your home university’s academic advisor must sign the Learning Agreement "Before Mobility".
UT Capitole must receive your Learning Agreement "Before Mobility" within the following deadlines:
- Autumn semester: students must have their Learning Agreement signed by their home university before mid-May. TSM signs the Learning Agreements between June and July.

You indicate the final list of courses you will attend and complete during your exchange. Changes to your initial Learning Agreement may be made. This section must be signed after your arrival at TSM by your TSM academic advisor.
TSM provides an online course catalogue for exchange students.
Please note that the catalogue may change from year to year.
The list of courses and the number of ECTS you must complete per semester and per year will be determined with your home university. They must be related to your field of study.
However, TSM requires that:
- for one semester: you must not exceed 30 ECTS
- for an academic year: you must not exceed 60 ECTS
Your home university determines the courses you must take during your exchange at TSM. For any questions, please contact your TSM coordinator at incoming@tsm-education.fr.
If you have questions regarding teaching methods, course content, or difficulties with a particular course, two TSM academic advisors are available to help you:
- Professor Sarah BOUJENDAR – Professor of Human Resources
- Professor Bastien DAVID – Professor of Accounting
They will be the signatories of your Learning Agreement “During Mobility.”
Your course list may change upon your arrival at TSM due to:
- limited availability in some courses
- timetable clashes with other courses on your list
- courses you ultimately no longer need to complete
You can make modifications to your document in the ‘During Mobility’ section after your arrival at TSM.
Please inform your TSM coordinator as soon as possible if you are aware of any potential changes before your arrival.
These aspects below are important to consider when choosing your courses.

Plan Your Arrival at TSM
Check the 2025-2026 academic calendar
You should arrive at the beginning of the Welcome Week. See the section ‘Your first days at TSM and in Toulouse'
As a non-european or a UK student, you need a visa to study at TSM and more generally in France. Neither TSM nor University of Toulouse Capitole provide assistance for obtaining a visa.
The only documents we can provide to help process your visa are the acceptance letter from Toulouse Capitole University and the acceptance letter from Crous.
If you have any questions about visas, please contact your home university or the relevant embassy.
Our university proposes public student housing (called Crous) managed by the French government. You will be able to express your interest in Crous residences during your online application for UT Capitole.
Allocations of Crous housing will be made :
- Starting in mid-June for fall semester
- Starting in mid-November for spring semester
Please note that the allocations of Crous housing can be done later than the dates indicated above. This depends on how long it takes to process your application.
As soon as the UT Capitole International Office finishes the allocation of Crous housing, you will receive one of two responses regarding your nomination to Crous:
- an acceptance letter if your allocation at Crous residence has been approved.
- It is possible to come before the date written on your Crous acceptance letter.
- an email that will inform you about the rejection of your allocation at Crous.
If you've been accepted, Crous will email a hosting proposal. To rent a room, you have to validate this hosting proposal by email and to fill an online rental form:
- When you finalise your rental application, you will receive a link enabling you to make this appointment.
- It is your responsibility to make an appointment for the handover of the keys, particularly in the case of early arrivals (which is possible).
- Alternatively, you can email the residence directly when your rental application is finalised.
All students must have valid health insurance for the entire duration of their stay in France:
- European/EEA students must bring a European Health Insurance Card or documentation of private health insurance.
- Non-european/EEA students must have proof of private or public health insurance during their stay in France.
A Zoom call is organised before your arrival at TSM:
- Autumn Semester: in July
- Spring Semester: in December
During this Zoom call, you will receive information about:
- your arrival at UT Capitole and TSM
- how to view your timetable
Your first days at TSM and in Toulouse
Welcome Week usually starts :
- during the last week of August for fall semester
- From 25 to 29 August 2025
- during the first week of January for spring semester
- From 5 to 9 January 2026
Here are some events organised during that week:
- Welcome meetings with UT Capitole and TSM
- Administrative enrolment at UT Capitole with the UT Capitole International Office
- Individual course pre-enrolment meeting at TSM with your TSM coordinator
- Campus tour
- Social activities
Upon arriving at TSM, you will need to complete an administrative registration with UT Capitole International Office in order to:
- receive a certificate of enrolment confirming that you are a student at UT Capitole;
- obtain a UT Capitole student number and student card;
- gain access to the UT Capitole Wi-Fi network and intranet.
To do so, please bring your health insurance documents.
You will receive an appointment date by email from the UT Capitole International Office, specifying the required documents.
Upon arriving at TSM, you will need to pre-register to the courses you want to attend with your TSM coordinator. The pre-registration meetings will start on the first day of Welcome Week:
- You will receive a pre-registration meeting invitation by email:
- In July for fall semester
- In December for spring semester
- Your presence at this meeting is mandatory.
An analysis of course enrolment based on your "Before Mobility" learning agreement is carried out prior to your arrival at TSM. We will inform you before your pre-enrolment meeting if you are affected by courses with limited places.
If you know before your arrival at TSM that you wish to make changes to your course list, but your "Before Mobility" learning agreement has already been signed by all parties, you can still modify the "Before Mobility" section or make "learning agreement modifications."
Please inform your TSM incoming mobility coordinator of these changes before your arrival.
Why is this meeting necessary?
Upon your arrival at TSM, your course list may differ from what you included in your Learning Agreement Before Mobility due to:
- timetable conflicts
- limited places in certain courses: if this applies, you will be informed before the summer/Christmas holidays
- changes in your academic needs
This meeting will provide an opportunity to:
- pre-register for new courses if necessary
- confirm with you the courses you wish to take at TSM
To prepare for this meeting, please:
- Check the timetables of the courses you wish to take at TSM via the ADE platform.
- As attendance is compulsory at TSM to achieve a good grade at the end of the semester, it is recommended to change courses if more than two sessions of a single course clash with other courses.
- Prepare a second course list if you are affected by timetable conflicts or limited course availability.
- Choose a tutorial (TD) group if you have selected courses that include both lectures and tutorials.
- Select a TD group that clashes the least with your other courses (there is no difference in content between groups).
However, if you know before your arrival at TSM that you wish to modify your course list, but your Learning Agreement “Before Mobility” has already been signed by all parties, you may still change the “Before Mobility” section or the “Learning Agreement changes”:
Please inform your TSM Incoming Mobility Coordinator of these changes before your arrival.
Check your timetables via the ADE platform.
When are timetables finalised at TSM?
- Autumn Semester: From mid-August
- Spring Semester: From mid-December
Some timetables may not be completely finalised after the semester begins.
How and when to access the ADE platform
Request instructions for using ADE by email from your TSM coordinator.
A Zoom tutorial will be offered before your arrival to show you how the platform works.
Check your course schedule before your pre-registration meeting at TSM
If more than two sessions of a single course clash with other courses, we recommend changing courses.
Attendance at TSM courses is compulsory to obtain a good grade!
Choose courses that clash the least with your other courses.
The ADE platform allows you to view the timetables for all TSM programmes :
As an exchange student, you may choose courses from several programmes.
If you select courses from different programmes, ADE does not display your full timetable in a single tab—you will need to switch tabs to view each programme separately.
To know which programme your courses belong to, consult the course catalogue or syllabi.
Additional information
- Some courses consist of lectures (CM) only.
- Others include both lectures (CM) and tutorials (TD).
- Tutorials are practical sessions where you apply what you learned in lectures.
- Students are divided into small groups.
- For courses with both CM and TD, choose a TD group that fits your schedule best.
- Once registered in a TD group, you cannot switch groups.
Tips:
- Create a personalised timetable in Google Calendar to easily see if there are any clashes.
- Keep checking each course timetable until the end of the semester, as TSM timetables can vary week to week.
- If you are affected by clashes, inform the lecturers by email as soon as possible, or during the first session of the relevant course, indicating which dates are affected.
- Ask whether they plan to schedule any graded work on the conflicting dates.
If your home university has a partnership with other faculties of UT Capitole, you can attend courses in other faculties.
To attend courses in other faculties, you must register by emailing the relevant coordinator :
- Faculty of Economics: Valentine LIORET – valentine.lioret@tse-fr.eu
- Law, Administration, Computer Science: Alejandra MARTINEZ – welcome-ut1@ut-capitole.fr
Please, contact the relevant coordinator to know if you are eligible to attend the relevant course. Once you are registered, please inform your TSM coordinator.
Once you will be pre-registered for a course, you will be able to try it out.
Finalising your course registration
This is an Excel document where you indicate the final list of courses you will take at TSM during the semester.
It must be completed and emailed to your TSM coordinator before the tutorials begin, i.e., around three weeks after Welcome Week.
The template will be sent to you by email at the beginning of September by your TSM coordinator.
Once the exam registration form is submitted, you can update your Learning Agreement.
After submitting your exam registration form, the final step is to update your Learning Agreement with your new course list (if it has changed since your arrival at TSM).
To add your course list changes, you have two options:
- Option 1: Add the modifications in the “During Mobility” or “Changes to the Learning Agreement” section of the document originally signed before your arrival.
- Option 2: Create a new Learning Agreement.
Before sending us your updated Learning Agreement, the document must first be signed by:
- you
- your academic advisor at your home university

How teaching works at TSM during your exchange
TSM's faculty tries to make the content of their courses as attractive as possible. For that reason, professors use different online learning systems to share the content of their courses or homeworks:
- Google Classroom
- TSM Academy
- Slack
- Moodle
The online platforms may differ from course to course. Professors will inform you of which platforms they use at the beginning of the semester. An online invitation will be sent to you via your TSM email address as soon as you register for a course.
Attendance at all courses is mandatory at TSM due to continuous assessment. The most commonly used grading methods at TSM are as follows:
- Generally, more than 50% of your final grade is based on a final exam.
- Generally, less than 50% of your final grade is assessed through continuous assessment.
Missing certain sessions may affect your final grade:
It is strongly recommended not to miss more than two sessions of the same course.
- If more than two sessions of a course clash with another, it is advisable to consider changing the course.
- In case of absence, please inform the instructor as soon as possible and provide justification.
Two exam sessions are held each year (see UT Capitole academic calendar)
Session 1
Period:
- Autumn Semester: From late November
- Spring Semester: From late April
