TSM earns prestigious EQUIS accreditation in 2023!

In October 2023, Toulouse School of Management, the management school of Toulouse Capitole University, has joined the ranks of the world's top business and management schools, by obtaining EQUIS accreditation from the European Foundation for Management Development.

A reward for continuity of commitment

Since the first EFMD accreditations obtained by TSM for the International Management Master's programme, the Finance Master's programme and the doctoral programme, the school has maintained its commitment to quality teaching, innovative learning methods, internationalisation of its students and top-level international research.

Today, TSM is proud of the recognition it has received by being awarded the prestigious EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System) accreditation. Its rigorous assessment process assures students, employers and academic partners throughout the world of the school's overall quality, its viability and its commitment to continuous self-improvement.

“It's a great pleasure, a shared honour, for our school, for our University, and for higher education and management research. This is the result of a steady and ambitious strategy. It is the culmination of the hard work of the men and women who make TSM what it is: teachers, lecturers, researchers, administrative staff and, of course, students and alumni. This EQUIS accreditation underlines the quality of our institution and the continuity of our commitment to public service. Higher education is a brand market. EQUIS accreditation makes us even more visible to our stakeholders, and in particular to international researchers and students.”

Hervé Penan, Dean, Toulouse School of Management.

What does this mean for students?

For TSM students, EQUIS accreditation is above all a token of quality. It guarantees the value of the degrees delivered and contributes to the international visibility of the institution. It ensures that students benefit from teaching based on the highest level of scientific knowledge. This international recognition attests to TSM's ability to offer training that meets the needs of the market and of our constantly evolving society.

TSM's strengths: research, professionalization and international reach

One of the great strengths of TSM, a leading school within a major research-intensive university, is its TSM-R research center, one of only three French management sciences research centers accredited by the CNRS. Research is thus at the heart of the school's development, and we are constantly striving to offer the best research conditions to our 60 teaching researchers, partners and students.

Research is also reflected in TSM's programmes, which are developed in collaboration with its stakeholders, in particular its partner companies, to offer relevant programmes that meet the market's needs. The programme portfolio is aligned with a global vision focused on excellence, high-quality public education and the internationalisation of students.

TSM's international reach can also be illustrated by the growing development of partnerships with other prestigious universities in Europe and around the world, offering students the opportunity to enter double degrees with an international dimension, or to carry out exchanges with our partner universities. The BSc Global Management program is a prime example of this commitment. Taught entirely in English, it brings together French and international students, offers innovative learning methods, a commitment to CSR and opportunities for international development.

EQUIS, a lever for improvement

Receiving the EQUIS accreditation should be seen as an encouragement to pursue our institution's strategy, particularly in terms of international development, educational innovation and CSRcommitment.

TSM Attends the 2024 EFMD Annual Conference

Hervé Penan, Audrey Rouzies, Silvia Rosetto, and Mathieu Fourtanier represented TSM at the annual EFMD conference, held from 9th to 11th June 2024 in Bologna.

This year, discussions and presentations centred around the theme "Navigating Geopolitical Tensions, AI, and Building a Human-Centred Future."

Additionally, TSM was honoured during the awards ceremony, following the recent achievement of its EQUIS accreditation.

Overall, this event also provided an opportunity to meet international colleagues, all committed to a common approach of quality and continuous improvement for education.

Moreover, TSM continues its commitment to excellence, with the renewal of the EFMD accreditation for its Master in International Management for a duration of five years in June 2024!
