TSM – Toulouse School of Management, part of Toulouse Capitole University, hosted the 17th Early Career Colloquium (EECC) of the European Academy of Management (EURAM) from 25 to 27 March. This flagship event is dedicated to supporting and developing early-career researchers in management at an international level.
This year’s edition was organised by Audrey Rouziès, Head of TSM Doctoral Programme, and Tom Neuhauser, Assistant Professor and co-organiser, with the support of TSM-Research. The event highlighted the expertise and dynamism of both research and the doctoral programme at TSM.
EECC 2026: a springboard for early-career researchers
From 25 to 27 March, TSM-Research and TSM Doctoral Programme hosted the 17th edition of the EURAM Early Career Colloquium (EECC). This international colloquium aims to provide early-career researchers with a unique opportunity to:
- discuss the key challenges of an academic career,
- learn from leading experts,
- expand their international network,
- receive valuable guidance for their professional development.
The theme of the 2026 edition, “Future-proofing early academic careers: thriving with AI and beyond ”, highlighted the essential skills and tools needed to succeed in an ever-evolving academic environment.
Mentoring, plenary sessions and coaching: a Toulouse edition dedicated to early-career researchers
This edition brought together:
- 12 mentors from leading academic institutions,
- 30 early-career researchers,
- participants representing more than 15 countries.
The programme included:
- 3 plenary sessions on artificial intelligence and time management for early-career researchers,
- 2 mentoring sessions focused on participants’ submitted papers,
- 1 coaching session on academic career opportunities.
These activities enabled participants to strengthen their skills, engage with experts, and benefit from tailored advice for their career paths.
The EECC once again confirmed its role as a must-attend event for doctoral candidates and early-career researchers in management and related disciplines.
TSM Doctoral Programme and TSM-Research: programmes and support for doctoral students and early-career researchers
Hosting the EECC in Toulouse underscores the central role of TSM-Research and TSM Doctoral Programme in supporting and training early-career researchers.
By organising international events such as the EECC, they foster within TSM-Research and Doctoral Programme:
- the exchange of best practices among emerging researchers,
- the dissemination of scientific knowledge on an international scale,
- the creation of lasting professional networks.
