Outgoing Academic Mobility

Students must have a certain number of credits

• For entry into Bachelor 2: be in the process of validating 60 ECTS or already hold 60 ECTS at the time of application.
• For entry into Bachelor 3 : be in the process of validating 120 ECTS or already hold 120 ECTS at the time of application.
• For entry into Master 1: be in the process of validating 180 ECTS or already hold 180 ECTS at the time of application.

Continuing education or work-study programmes are not eligible for international mobility.

Some programmes have special mobility requirements:

B2 and B3 Digital and Management

• Departure semester 1, semester 2 or full year. Note that departure is only possible in B2 or B3.

B2 Management

• Semester 2 or full-year mobility

B3 - Track Accounting and control

• No departures in semester 2. Only semester 1 or full year.
• If the student wishes to pursue a Master's degree in Accounting, control and auditing:
  • Year-round or Semester 1 in Trois-Rivières
  • To Semester 1 to any destination (subject to finding equivalent courses to the Bachelor 3 Accounting and, control at the partner university).
• If the student does not wish to pursue a Master's degree in Accounting, control and auditing: Semester 1 or year-round in any destination (subject to finding equivalent courses to the Bachelor 3 Accounting and, control at the partner university).

Bachelor of Science in Global Management

• In B.Sc.2: mobility for semester 2 or the whole year
• In B.Sc.3 :
  • if the student did not go on a mobility programme in B.Sc.2: mobility in semester 1, semester 2 or full year
  • if the student has already completed a mobility programme during his or her B.Sc.2, mobility is possible in semester 2.

Master International Management

• Year-round mobility only

1. Choose your programme: Bachelor 2, Bachelor 3, L3 or M1 at TSM. Remember to check the entry requirements for each one.
   1. Ex: The International Management Master's programme requires a C1 level certificate in English.

3. Choose your destination. You can make up to 5 choices. Remember to check the level of studies and language tests required.
4. Prepare the necessary documents and make sure you have them before applications close, especially the language test.
5. Apply via the online form before the deadline (mid-January).

The application form must be completed on the MoveOn  platform, which centralises the applications before a deadline set around mid-January. It must include the following supporting documents:

• Language test(s) valid until at least June 2025,
• Passport photo,
• Destinations listed in order of preference (please note that the order of preference is very important, as it is taken into account when allocating places),
• Baccalaureate transcript,
• Transcript of grades from last years of study,
• CV and cover letter,
  • 1 single letter for the choice of training at TSM and for mobility. We advise you to proceed as follows: 1/2 or 1 page on the choice of training and a paragraph for each destination. There is no maximum number of pages. The letter should be addressed to the person in charge of the course.

• Budget forecast

To ensure that the student will be able to meet his or her own needs during the mobility programme, a provisional budget sheet is provided for each country. This compulsory document is for information only and is not evaluated. You can use this site to help you fill it in.

For students wishing to take courses in a language other than their mother tongue: a language test is compulsory.

If you are French-speaking and are going to a university where the language of instruction is French, then you don't need to take a language test (e.g. for Quebec, Belgium...).

A B2 level in the language of instruction is required for mobility (English, Spanish, German...).

Students must commit to providing the correct language test for the destination and on time. No extension will be granted. So remember to find out about exam sessions as early as possible.

English language tests

• TOEIC and TOEFL English tests: full information on the ETS Global website. Please note that not all universities accept the TOEIC test.
• IELTS English test: you can take it in France. Register here to take the test.
• Duolingo test: all the information on the Duolingo website.

TSM in partnership with TOEIC and TOEFL

TSM offers its students discount codes, available on the intranet, thanks to its partnership with TOEIC and TOEFL. These codes allow students to take the tests at a reduced rate.

Bilateral agreements

TSM has bilateral agreements with the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières in accounting-control (departures authorised only during the L3 year) and with the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). Places are therefore reserved for TSM students at these two institutions, and TSM makes the final selection in the same way as other destinations.

After the application period starting in November, applications are selected between January and mid-February for departure the following academic year (for year-round, first and second semester mobility, the application period remains the same).

Several criteria are taken into account at the time of selection:

• Results and suitability of academic background,
• Motivation to study at TSM and to study abroad,
• Language level. Please note that the absence of a B2 for a non-French-speaking destination is eliminatory.
• Consistency of study plan with training and project.

A TSM outgoing mobility committee, made up of all Bachelor 2, Bachelor 3 and Master 1 heads of programme, as well as the outgoing mobility team from the International Relations Department, evaluates and allocates places, according to students' wishes and the number of places available at partner universities.

Please note that some universities are more in demand than others, making it more difficult to secure a place. You can find more information directly on the partner map.

It should also be noted that selection is carried out by Toulouse School of Management and not by the partner university, with the exception of the BCI programme.

2 - Preparing for the language test

• I go to the language resource center to work on and test my level of English or Spanish.
• I get informed about the test to be provided directly on the TSM card.
• I register as soon as possible to take my test, so that I can have the results before applications close.

3 - Administrative documents

• The student registers and pays registration fees at the Université Toulouse Capitole.
• Exemption from tuition fees at the host university.
• Participants are responsible for their own travel and accommodation expenses, as well as any other costs (such as health insurance) that may be required by the host establishment.

To ensure that students are able to meet their own needs during their mobility, we ask them to fill in a provisional budget sheet for each country.

Numerous mobility grants are available, including the Erasmus+ grant, the Occitanie region grant and others.

Do not forget to register on the Ariane portal!

The Ariane portal is a service provided by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, enabling French nationals in a foreign country to be contacted if the situation in the country so warrants.

Registered users will receive information and safety instructions by e-mail or SMS. In addition, a contact person designated on their account can also be notified if necessary.

For visa procedures, students should contact the French embassy or consulate in the country concerned. Visa applications are the responsibility of the student.

When looking for accommodation, students can contact the Welcome desk, which has practical information sheets on many countries.

The study programme must be validated by your head of programme before departure.

• If you wish to change your Learning Agreement during the year :
  • Modification of learning agreement for departure to Europe
  • Modification of learning agreement for departure outside Europe
• The host university will not issue a diploma, but a transcript.
• Results obtained abroad are validated by a Toulouse School of Management equivalence commission, taking into account an equivalence grid.
• The diploma obtained is therefore French.
