Biography
Catherine Casamatta is a Full Professor specialising in Finance. Catherine is also the Vice President of Finance for Toulouse Capitole University (UT1). She is also a Louis Bachelier Fellow. Catherine serves as a member of the Scientific Council of the AMF, a Board member of Actia, and a Program Committee member of Tokenomics conferences. She has also previously served as the Director of the TSM Doctoral Programme (2006 to 2010) and as the Dean of TSM (2010 to 2015).
Her research focuses on corporate finance, and in particular venture capital, corporate governance, socially responsible finance, and fintech. Her work has been published in international journals, such as the Journal of Finance, the Review of Financial Studies, the Review of Finance, and the Journal of Financial Intermediation.
Catherine obtained her PhD and HDR from UT1 and is a graduate of ESSEC. Catherine also previously held the position of Academic Fellow at the Europlace Institute of Finance (EIF).
