Yuhao’s research centers on strategies under political constraints. He studies why some organizations and communities act despite political risks, polarization, and inequality while others do not, and how acting under such constraints builds advantage. His empirical settings span impact-driven firms, nonprofits under hostile states, and communities in the world’s poorest regions. His work combines qualitative, quantitative, and experimental methods.
