Magali Giraud is an Associate Professor in Marketing at TSM and is the Head of the Marketing Department. She also serves as the Programme Head of the Master in Marketing (first year). Her research focuses on the consumer's purchasing behavior, particularly the problems associated with the process of controlling and losing control of individuals in the store, on the Internet, and more generally in the management of their budgets. She is also interested in behaviors of collaborative consumption.

Her work has previously been published in journals, such as Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, Management et Avenir and Décisions Marketing. Magali is a graduate of EDHEC and she obtained her PhD from Toulouse Capitole University (formerly Toulouse 1 Capitole University) in 2002.
