Biography
Sai Prashanth Ramachandran is a Ph.D. student in Marketing at Toulouse School of Management (Université Toulouse 1 Capitole). His thesis investigates transforming the 'consumer' to a 'climate upstander' even in times of uncertainty (i.e., pandemics, recessions, climate change threats). His research interests revolve around consumer decision-making in times of threats (e.g., uncertainty, low control), self-control and sustainable behavior. He is curious to contribute to the above mentioned fields and bridge the gap between academics, businesses, non-profit organisations and policy makers.
His thesis is jointly supervised by Camilla Barbarossa and Laurent Bertrandias. Also, Sai is a visiting PhD candidate at the marketing department of VU Amsterdam hosted / supervised by Femke van Horen.
Sai predominantly uses experiments and mixed methods (semi-structure dinterveiws for conceptualization followed by experiments) to investigate his research questions.
