Biography
Alexander is a Full Professor in Finance and is an affiliated member of Toulouse School of Economics (TSE). He currently serves on the Research Committee of Toulouse Capitole University (UT1) and on the Executive Committee of TSM. Alexander is also a Senior Member of the Institut Universitaire de France.
Alexander’s research focuses on financial economics and theoretical corporate finance. His work has been published in scientific journals, including the Journal of Finance, Review of Economic Studies, European Economic Review, Games and Economic Behavior, and the Journal of the European Economic Association. Alexander also serves as a referee for several journals, such as American Economic Review, European Economic Review, Journal of Finance, Oxford Economic Papers, and Review of Finance.
Alexander was conducted temporary visiting appointments at London Business School, Duke University and the University of Pennsylvania. He also previously held University Lecturer and Reader (Assistant and Associate Professor) roles at the Saïd Business School of the University of Oxford, where he had been a faculty member since 1999.
He obtained a PhD in Economics from the European University Institute in 2000, an MPhil in Economics from the University of Oxford and he holds a Master’s degree in Engineering, Economics and Management from the University of Karlsruhe.
