Biography
Sai Prashanth Ramachandran is a Ph.D. student in Marketing at Toulouse School of Management (Université Toulouse 1 Capitole). His thesis investigates the effect of internal (i.e., personal events) and external threats (i.e., pandemics, recessions, climate change threats) on sustainable behavior. His thesis is jointly supervised by Camilla Barbarossa and Laurent Bertrandias.
His research interests revolve around consumer decision-making in times of threats (e.g., uncertainty, low control), self-control and sustainable behavior. Additionally, he is also passionate towards the transformative consumer research agenda and the role of positive emotions (i.e., awe, joy, hope) in providing a fulfilling sense of life. He is curious to contribute to the above mentioned fields and bridge the gap between academics, businesses, non-profit organisations and policy makers.
Sai predominantly uses experiments to investigate his research questions. Also, Sai is a visiting PhD candidate at VU Amsterdam from April - June 2024.
