Jana HERBIG

Jana Herbig holds a PhD in Strategy and International Management from Toulouse School of Management/ University Toulouse Capitole. Her research in strategic management focuses on mergers and acquisitions, with a particular interest in how organisations learn from acquisition experience and build knowledge from complex and disruptive strategic events. Her work has been presented at international academic conferences, including the Academy of Management Annual Meeting, EURAM Conference and the EIBA Conference. She is also affiliated with the European M&A Institute (eM&Ai), a scientific collaboration network promoting research in the field of Mergers and Acquisitions.

At Toulouse School of Management, Jana teaches courses in strategy, entrepreneurship, and international management and serves as the Head of the Master 2 in International Management programme. Her teaching and academic activities connect strategic management research with questions relevant to international firms and management practice.

Prior to her PhD, Jana obtained an M.Sc. in Strategy and International Management from Toulouse School of Management, an M.Sc. in International Business Administration from the University of Eichstaett-Ingolstadt, Germany, and a Masters in Management specialising in Aerospace Management from Toulouse Business School. She holds a B.Sc. in International Business Administration from the University of Bamberg, Germany.

Jana gained industry experiene in strategic procurement at Airbus Helicopters in Donauwoerth. She also worked as a research assistant at the Chair of Macroeconomics at the University of Eichstaett-Ingolstadt and at the Bamberg Graduate School of Social Sciences (BAGSS).
