Interview : Pierre Bondon, from TSM to Mister Universal France

The most handsome man in France passed through TSM and you can feel it. Friendly, cultured, charming and in constant search of learning, Pierre Bondon is back at TSM to talk about his career.

How did he get from the IAE of Toulouse to Mister Universal France and what was his path after his studies? Discover the answer and much more in his exclusive interview for TSM!

  • Could you introduce yourself for the TSM students who don't know you?

I am 30 years old and I was a student at TSM in 2014-2015 in the Master 2 of European Banking and Finance. A Master 2 that was quite dense in terms of hours since we had about 300 hours of training.

In life I am a simple person. I travel a lot, I like sports and a lot and my friends define me as a genuine, generous and kind person!

"The business schools were not as well rated as TSM."

  • Why did you choose the Master in European Banking and Finance at TSM?

It was the one that offered the most opportunities! I wanted to become a banker and especially to work in finance and in agencies. It was the master's degree that was referenced as the most promising. It also had a certain reputation and the business schools were not as well rated as TSM. So I naturally redirected myself to the Master in European Banking and Finance.

  • What was your career path at the end of your studies?

When I graduated from TSM, I had 2 opportunities: to join Paris Dauphine in Master 2 or to work directly in a bank. I chose the second option, because I needed new challenges and to fully integrate into working life.

I therefore followed a 3-year internal course in this banking establishment. In 3 years, I was able to travel to 12 different cities in the southwest. I was a manager quite quickly and I did about 2 years as a branch manager.

  • How did you get to the Mister Universal France contest?

I have been in the modeling business for a little over 2 years. Moreover, I was able to meet the presidents and co-presidents of the contest during a gala evening that was organized by a friend in Paris. The human qualities are the one that pushed me to apply, but also to be able to represent France and the values that are dear to me.

It is also an opportunity to go to the biggest international competition in Poland in July. This is really what gave me the will to transcend myself... And the scarf!

"I currently manage large accounts with more than 1.5 million euros in sales."

  • What are your projects ?

My first job is to be a corporate customer consultant. I currently manage large accounts with more than 1.5 million euros in sales. My goal is to handle sales exceeding 5 million euros. Ideally, I would like to become a business manager in a company within a year and a half.

Besides that, I am pursuing my modeling projects and in July I will be in Poland for the Mister Supranational 2022 contest. According to the polls I am in the top 5 of the favorites!

I also invest a lot in the associative life. I collaborated with the association "1 Maillot pour la vie" which accompanies sick children to the meeting of the high level sportsmen and to the events. I also work on several fundraising events.

  • How do you manage to combine your professional life with your activity as Mister France Universel?

I am lucky enough to have 7 weeks off in my job. I use them all for this. I have to, because I have 2 weeks of preparation in Poland before the Mister Supranational contest.

I won't have many vacations this year, but I'm taking advantage of them before I hand in my Mister Universal France scarf in December!

  • What would you like to say to students who are hesitating to choose TSM?

They have great facilities and infrastructure. I only spent one year at TSM, but I will never forget it. I had a great time here.

Solidarity and tolerance between students is paramount. It is the unity that is important in this context of crisis that has lasted for 2 years now. Besides, the friends you make now, you keep them and they can follow you all your life. Iin your personal as well as in your professional life. You are now building a network! It is therefore necessary to cultivate exchanges.

"We don't always realize how lucky we are to be studying."

  • Do you have any advice to give them?

If I had one message for students, it would be to be resilient. It's not always easy being a student. We don't always realize how lucky we are to be studying. When it stops, we miss it a lot. Take advantage of your luck!
