21st International Governance Conference on May 19 and 20, 2022

The International Academic Governance Association (AAIG), TSM Research, TSM and Toulouse Capitole 1 University are joining forces to present the 21st International Governance Conference (IGC) on May 19 and 20, 2022.


An international event

TSM Research and TSM are proud to host an international event at Toulouse Capitole 1 University for the very first time. Indeed, this International Governance Conference takes place every other year abroad. 

This year, the pink city was selected, and TSM Research, to host researchers and PhD students from all over the world for workshops and thematic conferences.


The conference 

Walid Ben-Amar, Full Professor and Telfer Research Fellow in Accounting at the Telfer School of Management, University of Ottawa, Canada, addresses "Adapting to Climate Change Risks: What Role for Corporate Governance?"

Walid Ben-Amar holds a Master's degree in Accounting from the University of Quebec in Montreal and a PhD in Business Administration from HEC Montreal, and is alsor recipient of a University of Ottawa Excellence in Education award since 2019.

His research interests include corporate governance, corporate social responsibility, and financial and non-financial disclosure strategies of listed companies. His current research projects, funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC), focus on climate change risk governance and disclosure. 


The programme and workshops 

A number of workshops are planned on 19 and 20 May to discover the subjects of theses in auditing, banking or new forms of governance. 

Some examples of theses: "Refounding the company and its representations in the face of the challenges of sustainability", "Diversity, gender and the profile of the manager: analysis of the dividend policy in Islamic banks compared to conventional banks" or "Environmental law: ten years later, what are the consequences of the Grenelle law?
